Grooved butterfly valve with supervisory switch DN.50 is manufactured for industrial fire-fighting, heating, gas and pressurized water installations.
Butterfly valves are used for local control in water supply and fire protection systems, acting as isolation valves for hydraulic circuit demarcation. They can be used both as shut-off and control valves. In fire protection systems, the position of the valves must be visible and electrically monitored. The valve is equipped with a mechanical gearbox operated by a handwheel, and the gearbox cover contains the electrical monitoring circuit. A mechanical indicator showing the open/closed position is also mounted on the cover.
